- It is not the cables. I've removed all but one drive on the DB25, swapped
- drive positions and the problem still persists. It's plain weird that my boot
- drive(Quantum 52) is the only one giving the errors. Also, if the diode was
- reversed, shouldn't I have had a problem no matter what OS version installed?
- I've been running this setup since last summer with the 3.1 softkicked ROMS
- without any problems. Only reason I bought the 3.1ROMs was so I can drop in a
- accelerator board and get back 500k of memory.
-
- I've also tried unsuccessfully in the past adding a 1GB CONNER SCSI-2 drive.
- No matter what configuration, even as the sole drive in the machine, I could
- not get it to work without any errors. This was before installing the 3.1ROMs.
- I'm glad my hair was cut. I spared my scalp the abused of tearing my hair
- out!
